Tommy helps startups get off the ground and grow. As Chief Connector at Floodgate, he helps founders find the right people and information to resolve bottlenecks. Floodgate is an early-stage VC firm founded by Mike Maples, Jr, and Ann Miura-Ko. Their investments include Twitter, Chegg, Demandforce, ngmoco, TaskRabbit, and Zimride.
A Boston native and son of a MIT engineer, David has been programming
since he was five and has coded for MIT, Harvard, Stanford, There.com,
atWeb, and Legato. David wrote the first layman’s description of MP3
in early 1997 and graduated in 2000 with a BS in Computer Science from
Stanford, where he was a President Scholar and a finalist in the ACM
International Programming Competition.
David started Mexican.VC, Silicon Valley’s first seed stage fund for
Mexican Internet companies, PBwiki (now PBworks) where he is still
Chairman, and is currently full-time at Gaston Labs, working on
Oha.na, a family sharing application.
David is a Founding Director of Hacker Dojo, a non-profit community
center aimed at providing programmers in the SF Bay Area a place to
collaborate and innovate. (Pinterest was born at Hacker Dojo!) The
Dojo sprang from SuperHappyDevHouse, a monthly hackathon co-founded by
David, whose 50+ Saturday gatherings of upwards of thousands of
programmers have produced many projects, companies, and friendships.
David earlier founded of the California Community Colocation Project,
which provided free colocation services to over 130 non-profits and
after merging with the Online Policy Group successfully sued Diebold
Election Systems in Federal Court (see OPG v. Diebold).
David likes to bring people together, fly helicopters, scuba dive,
adventure, and make useful things.
Lachy is the founder of 4 successful online businesses including consumer facing startups, front-end consultancies and an eCommerce startup. He had his first successful exit at the age of 15 and since then he has sold multiple companies, spoken at conferences and has participated in discussions related to online education and the future of programming education.
Lachy currently advises Dev Bootcamp, a 10-week intensive Ruby on Rails training program in San Francisco, CA. In his capacity at Dev Bootcamp he provides expertise in marketing and PR and he has spoken on "The Future of For Profit Education".

Formerly launch VP Marketing at UniversityNow, CMO Ashworth College (80,000 online students), Managing Principal at Zyman Group, SVP Marketing at Unisource, VP Marketing for Siemens AG Center of eExcellence. Brought to the market over 20 products with multi-million first year annual revenues from a few $ million to $100 million. Kellogg MBA, BA LaSalle and former Captain US Army Corps of Engineers. Loves the outdoors especially scuba diving and hiking in/around the hills and beaches of Marin County.
